Softward disc scratched & recovered????

Okay..this is a software disc for a sewing machine.....The original is damaged and stops at 96% when downloading. The recovered disc is from my computer that crashed, It is asking for an access code that is on the cd case....there isn't one on the orignal case or disc itself. I'm sure it is a copyright issue since it was burned from the old hard drive. Any suggestions on how to get this information off of either disc????

There is nothing to uninstall, this is a new computer that I have never used with this machine. I have found the autopunch access code but I still can't get the basic software installed.

Try to unistall the previous version on your computer before installing the copied software. If you are talking about the basic Futura software, there are no access codes, but if you want to install autopunch or hyperfont you will need the access codes.

I asked do you have an updated version for the CE-150 sewing machine . Embroidery software that is comparable with windows 10?

The CE-150 software update page claims that the version 3.0.1.3 update is compatible with Windows 10. See http://futura-support.com/products/ce-150/software . You will need the original installation CD in an optical disc drive. If your current computer doesn't have a CD or DVD drive, connect an external optical drive. These use a USB port or two - the second port is for power - depending on the model.

I hope this helps. If you don't have the original CD, you'll need to find a copy. I don't know of any trustworthy sources that still have the original disc.

Is the original Futura Program available to download or do I need to buy another installation disc? I can't find the one that came with the machine purchased in 2011.

I think that disc won't work anymore. But I also think you don't need to but that program. go to this link below provided by singer.

My shuttle on my singer prelude gets some small scratches and I have to remove them and my sewing machine will see great until it happens again

Those scratches usually occur because the needle has deflected and hit it. This happens sometimes, however, sewing slower when going through heavy fabrics, across seams, never pulling on fabric, etc. will help prevent it from occurring. Also, NEVER sew across pins (have you ever had the needle break and the tip fly up into your face? Not a good idea if you value your eyesight!).

If the scratches are minor, they can sometimes be smoothed with very fine sandpaper or emery board. When it gets larger nicks and gouges, it may need to be replaced.

On my Husqvarna Viking sewing & embroidery machine...when I put in a floppy disc I get the error message: General disc error. What is wrong?

It can't read your disc, it may be damaged or needs to be cleaned. It could also be the wrong disc for the machine. The machine can't recognize it.

I can not get the softward to download and be usable on my newer computer. HELP! I put the software on and I get a window telling me that the USB cable needs to be connected and it is.

Make sure you're plugging the USB cable from the machine into a USB port in the BACK of your computer, not one of the front ports or a port on a USB hub. The cable and machine need more power than most of those ports provide, a technical detail that Singer doesn't realize. Good luck!

Bobbin case turns in its place

You need to remove the needle plate and take out the bobbin case. Examine it for any rough spots, scratches or burrs. When you find them, you will need to remove them with an emery stick and then buff it with very fine steel wool. Reinstall the bobbin case and the needle plate. Put the bobbin in the machine so that it turns counter clockwise when you pull the thread. Rethread the top of the machine and change the needle. Hold the needle thread , turn the handwheel and see if the bobbin thread is picked up without snagging anyplace. If it's okay, sew away.

Bobbin thread bunching

Hi,
Remove your needle plate, and take out the black bobincase. Check the edges on the black bobbincase for scratches or damages. The upper tread should glide smootly around the upper edge of this bobbincase.

If you find any scratches, you may use a very fine sandpaper/grindingpaper (not shure what you call this in english) to remove the scratches.

Can't read my floppy

Do you use any powerful sewing magnets? May have scramble something with those....

If not may be sewing machine version of the "mother board" fried. Time to send it in for repair or replacement if that is the cause - they need to replace a tiny little expensive part to give it back its brain.
