Question about Canon Wordtank G55

Canon Wordtank G55 Problem

My husband bought a Canon Wordtank G55 several months ago. Now he sees a number of black vertical lines on the screen that he never saw before. He last used the dictionary three weeks ago or so. When he turned it on yesterday, the batteries had to be replaced and he changed them. Then, the dead black lines appeared. My husband and I can minimize the appearance of black lines by lightening the color on the screen. But, we believe that we should not see such vertical lines, even if we darken the color. Is this broken? Can this be fixed? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I also have the same problem (black vertical lines). I had just purchased this less than 2 months ago and use it quite often.

I am trying to send this back but haven't received response yet from the web-site I purchased from.

There's a contrast nob on the side which you need to adjust.

Every time I scan an image using the ADF, two vertical black lines appear on the right side of the page (on the screen, not as printed). When I scan using the platen there is no problem. This problem...

Do you scan to PDF? Than it could be the properties of acrobat. Go to 'properties' and to 'pageview' and set a higher resolution and at the section 'rendering' check all boxes.

TV: bright line across black screen for several hours.

vertical output ic needs to be resoldered. careful leaving that bright line displayed on the screen as this will cause a permanent phosphor burn into the tube. this can not be corrected once burned unless you replace the tube. mch
