Question about Symbol PPT 8800 Portable Terminal
I AM DUE TO START USING THE PPT 8800 FOR MY WAREHOUSE IN THE NEAR FUTURE, MY QUESTION IS; I WILL HAVE UP TO 3 PPT 8800'S IN USE AT THE SAME TIME,....WILL I NEED TO HOOK UP ALL 3 BASES TO THE INTERNET OR CAN I JUST HAVE ONE HOOKED UP AND ALL PPT 8800'S COME TO THE "ONE" BASE AND DOWN LOAD ALL INFORMATION?
I can help you ...
Are you referring to the base kit for manufacturing floors ? What is the model number of your base?
I suspect when you say base you are actually referring to an access point. It would likely be model 5131 or (older)4131.
That access point can support many devices. Hence you need only one. Be careful to turn on WEP encryption (or TKIP) on the access point so you don't become the next TJmax!
Hope it helps.
