Do you have harness going to your system if so you can match the wire colors together if not you will have to hardwire but keep in mind you will need a 12v tester with a light on it to check your ground lead your acc or ignition and then your direct or constant 12v you will have to check these three wires with a volt meter if you dont have a harness for your vehicle

If you want the Jensen to shut off with the key the red wire has to go on the acc. side which is key on power. If you go direct to the battery it will stay on all the time, unless you shut it off at the switch. The other memory goes to the battery, illuminate dim should go to key side.

How do i wire me cdplayer in to my s10

You can get an adapter for $6 so you don't have to cut the original wiring. It connects to cd player wiring then just clips in to your stereo harness that is already there. Otherwise if you are going to cut your wiring, you will have to go to installer . com or the12volt . com to find out which factory wires are which.

If you get a wire harness, then just match up the colors that are on the cd player.

Red wire is from ignition
Yellow wire is directly connected to the battery power
Black is negative ground wire that should be grounded out.
Blue wire is an acc wire that connects to the REM on an amplifier.
Orange dimmer isn't needed and blue/white power antennae wire isn't needed.
Green and purple wires are speaker wires for the back and white and grey wires are speaker wires for the front.

After i installed my alpine cd Player in my 2002 ford mustang I pressed the power/source button on the receiver and the engine started. What could cause this to happen?

when you push that power button it draws power from a 12volt constant and sends it to the acc on the deck witch tells it to turn on and off! this acc may be shared with the ing acc. now the only way that it could start your engine is if this acc is grounding out to stater, ing, acc wires etc, remote car starter involed?

I dont no what i do whit the acc and what is my line i put in the power or the ground i dont have the plan for the truck and the radio

Use a voltmeter (VOM) to find 12v wire always ON, this connects to the receivers YELLOW wire. Then use the VOM to find a 12v wire ON with Ignition, this will connect to the RED wire on your unit, Then use the OHM function on the VOM to find a suitable GROUND, this will connect to the BLACK wire on your unit. The ACC wire is for activating a power antenna.

Won't turn off or on automatically

You must have the yellow and the red wires tied together on a constant voltage source.

Only the yellow wire should be on a constant voltage source.

The red wire should only get voltage when the ignition is turned on or in the acc. position.

You need to rewire the red wire on the radio.

Let me know if it helps.
