DVD players are region specific.  US is region 1.  Check the back of the DVD case and see what region it says. The number needs to match the region of your player. If all the #s are good, then your optical pickup lens is fu.k.d up.  Try going to the box stores and buying a DVD optical lens cleaner kit.  If that don't work, then call the manufacturer and have them deal with it.

Error trying to play a DVD on the Bose 3-2-1- Lifestyle system.

Unplug the power cord leave the DVD inside the Bose 321 system. Then plug the power cord back in. Voilla your DVD starts playing.

Bose System Bose 321 unsupported format with dvd's

You need to stand at the front of a Bose store and tell everyone about to enter your story, until the manager of the store agrees to give you a new one. This looks like an ongoing problem that Bose knows about and will not address. $900+ and maybe 60 hours dvd time and I'm on the same boat. I thought Bose could be a trusted company.

Format unsupported

Format unsupported simply means the unit can not read the disc. The problem is either the disc or the player.

Contact Bose technical support if you are sure the discs are good. 800-367-4008

DVDs with pictures refuse to play. Get 'format unsupported'

the 321 does not support data cds or dvds read the manual. standard DVD or VCD format only.
