Verizon LG VX5200 Service Required

I had 3 Verizon LG VX 5500 and 1 told me the same thing. I just ask a friend for an old phone and then I activate it on the verizon website and no problem... it can't be fixed once is asking you for a GENUINE BATTERY, you need to get another phone. Also you can get the same phone in ebay (used) and activated it yourself.

There is no SIM card in that phone. It is CDMA not GSM. Hope this helps!

Try to use the MEID info in the #help*help screen to try to activate the phone.
If you still cannot, you need to fix MEID and ESN file on your phone.

any verizon phone should be able to be activated.
try this-
1. turn phone on
2. call *228
3. follow the instruction to automated activation system.

verizon has given me alot of **** about activating any new (or old) phone i've gotten because i dont upgrade my service. i just buy my phones off ebay for a way cheaper price.

Well i was able to figure out my own problem and it turns out all you have to do is call the verizon costomer service and they will reprogram your password back to default.

there might be a setting for that. try to find one or go to the verizon store and they will tell it to you.

It means you need to take your phone in to get it serviced, i.e. repaired. You can get it fixed by taking it in for service

i took mine to a verizon store...they wanted me to buy a new phone
