You will need a new lock cylinder, the normal way of thievery is to bang a big screwdriver in and force the lock by destroying the lock internals. Then you need the remote an immobilizer reprogramming. At least they were defeated from stealing the car because of the immobilizer and having no key.

It could be a failed key !! haveyou tried your spare key ? if not it could be the EIS or ESL (electronic steering lock )

You need to remove the plastic cowling surrounding the steering column.
You then need a hammer and metal chisel and take off the shear bolt tops which hold the lock mechanism around the steering column. You can then replace this entire unit.
You may need to transfer over any key reading RF receiver or re-pair any new keys after refitting.

The usual lights for a keyoard are the 3 above the number pad. they will be labelled to correspond with the following keys:
- CAPS Lock
- NUMBER Lock
- SCROLL Lock
When they are pressed once the light will go on, meaning that function key is active. So if the CAPS Lock key was pressed and the light is on, then any letter key (A to Z) you press appear as a capital in documents. Press CAPS Lock again and the light goes out and the letter will type lower case.
The NUMBER LOCK is for the keypad to the right (not the number across the top and above the letters). This function ensures the numbers will appear instead of their alternate function, such cursor and Page UP/down, Home, and End.
SCROLL Lock is not used much, but it can be used in Excel to hold the current selection. For example, you want scroll about the sheet using the cursor keys, but want to keep the current cell selected. So with SROLL lock active, when you use the cursor key's, the sheet will move in the direction you want while leaving the selected cell selected. Try it and you'll see what I mean.

the lock surround has a transponder built into it that recognises the key(you must use the key to start and run the engine)only answer is a new barrel and recode the keys.and no you cannot deactivate the immobiliser........

hi if the problem is that the lock has locked and wont free when you try and turn the ignition on then what you should try is turning the steering wheel from left to right as hard as you can whilst you try turning the key, the problem is usually that the lock is under pressure from the tyres trying to turn the steering wheel so with this pressure on the lock the key just wont turn so you need to try and release this pressure so that the key will turn and unlock the lock.

so hold the steering wheel tight and turn it left using a bit of pressure whilst you keep trying to turn the key dont hold the key in the same possition as this wont free the lock keep turning the key on and off so that it resets and this should then allow the lock to free and you should be able to start your car, if turning the steering wheel left dont work then try right and repeat with the key on and off until the lock is off and the steering is free.

now it is going to be tight so you will need some force to turn the steering wheel as the force from the tyres will be quite alot so you will need to use force to work the steering wheel left and right whilst turning the key.

now if this still dont work then this will either mean you have a problem with the key or the actual ignition barrel has got a fault if this is the case then your going to need to get a new igniton barrel, the part the key goes into before the lock will free itself, all you need to do to remove the barrel is to remove the cover from the steering wheel surround and then you will see how the barrel comes out of its surround but dont do this until you have a new lock in case you forget how you got it apart.

the chances are the lock is just stuck and working the steering wheel left then right as far as you can will free it up if it dont then you can also try jacking the 2 front wheels off the floor like put the car on stands then try turning the steering left and right to unlock the ignition doing it this way releases the pressure from the tyres and should make it easier to unlock the steering.

TRY Relearning the remotes. to do this get in vehicle with doors closed hold the unlock button down on drivers door while you cut key on and off two or three times you should hear locks cycle and horn chirp. let go of unlock button and hold both lock and unlock button down on one key fob for 15 seconds or so you will see locks cycle move to next remote and do same. then cut key on to exit learn mode. as far as door not unlocking with key this is a problem with lock cylinder most likely.

Sticky ignition lock very common this time of year, get some WD-40 and spray it into the lock using the key to work it on and off until it feels free, depends on how bad it is you may need to take of the cover surrounding the lock to free it off. worst case you will need a new ignition lock.

Unfortunately there is no such function to lock cetain applications on the LgShine. You can, however lock the handheld so that people who pick up your phone can not go through it at all:

1.from the standby screen, press Menu.

2.Scroll to and select Settings.

3.Scroll to and select Security.
4.Sroll to and select Lock Handset.

5.Select desired option, press Set.
6.Enter the Security Code, press OK.

7.A confirmation screen will be displayed.
