You can't adjust the volume of the recording, but you can adjust the volume of the playback. See page 31 of this manual.

This is called "white balance"-- the indoor lights have a bit of a yellowish tint, while sunlight has more of a blue tint.
Try changing the white balance to Auto-- if you get bad results on Auto, try using the Indoor or Incandescent settings. You may have the white balance set on the "outdoor" or "flash" setting.

It was $279.95 when it came out in 2006. A lot of people liked it. If yours actually works (buying at a pawn shop is always "iffy") and you got it at a great price, be happy.

The SP-510 will not deface your pictures by scrawling numbers across them. However, the data is stored with every picture. Depending on the program and printer, you can print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back. Please refer to the documentation for the program.

If you print directly from the camera, refer to the instructions in the "Printing" section of the camera manual (page 46 in my copy).

I think the problem you have is that the shutter speed is too fast. make the shutter speed slower and try taking photos.

If you have a combo media-reader, put the xD card in that and connect it to computer. Copy all images through the reader. Then format the xD card. Now it should work okay.

Assuming your SP 550 UZ is similar to the 510 UZ "RAW Mode" is not available in "Auto" or any of the "Scene" modes. If you set your camera to "P" and then access the Image Quality item in the Menu RAW is available as an option.
