Question about Xerox Phaser 3100MFP/S Laser Printer
The service manual says:
"Before you start, set the 8 bit parameter installation configuration 1 to 1."
This means that you have to go and make the last bit of the Software Switch from 0 to 1.
'Soft-switch 1: Tuning the ringing tone and automatic printing (3100MFP/X)"
When you go there you discover instead of being
10000100, it is 00100001 which means that the first bit is the last in our case.
When I changed the 00100001 to 10100001, then it opened me the option of down, #, 8 and I erased the memory.
Then after I pressed the 8, the printer acted like rebooting and when I returned to make the Software switch 1 back to the former state I discovered that the Software switch 1 returned to the former state by itself.
