Because you are using an Official Firmware(OFW) try
downgrading to a 5.00M33-6 Custom firmware(CFW)
you can easily do this with a pandora battery which will install 5.00 OFW on your psp and then you simply download the 5.00m33-6 CFW update
OR
download
1. Hellcat's Recovery Flasher
2. 5.00 OFW it is 25.83MB

install the Hellcat's Recovery Flasher on the psp
and put the 5.00 OFW on the psp
This files should be put in this directory
PSP/GAME

open the Hellcat's Recovery Flasher in the memory- stick of the Game section when the psp is on

follow the instructions
ENJOY..!!

I upgrade to v5.02 and now my psp wont recognize any games

Be sure that you have your games saved in a folder named - ISO. You also need to have a CFW or homebrew enabled PSP. If you upgraded to official firmware than your PSP won't be able to use the game files.

Saving .iso games

if you're running the official sony firmware (not a hacked version) you might as well forget iso's and homebrew for now. you'll have to downgrade your firmware first then go back to a custom firmware. i haven't been keeping up w/ the psp hacking scene lately, and i'm not sure what is the latest firmware that can be downgraded. a good place to check for more info is psp.qj.net as well as their forums. hope that helps!
