Magnavox MPTV68A "Magnavox" emblem is displayed and won't disappear

I g et s message on mine when I record from some channels can't record in plus dvr mode does anyone know what this is?

you will need to tuned every channel then save it to the memory. you can use the user manual of your tv for instructions. if you don't have user manual i'll try find from you, just give me the model of your tv.

Get into the menu and find the type of signal you want...cable or over the air. Set for cable and hit auto program! Be sure have a connection to the RF connector.

check out this diagram, paying close attention to the audio video cable hookups.

assume the cable tv box represents the converter box

you are going to come out of the converter box audio and video outputs into the new magnavox dvd/vcr combo audio and video inputs.

Then out of the new magnavox dvd/vcr combo outputs to the inputs on the tv if it has such inputs. The TV will have to operate on the video input 1 or 2 if the tv has such a thing, use the remote for the tv to adjust the input signal to line in 1 or 2 depending on what it has.

If the tv has no coaxial input or audio video inputs then you might have to use an adapter, you can get these from radio shack.

You say it will not record from the tv, but in all actuality the dvd vcr combo is getting the signal from the converter box not the tv, do you understand what I mean here?

So the dvd vcr combo gets input from the converter box so you will have to set it to view signal from the line input you have plugged in from the converter box. line 1 or 2 or whatever the input is.

the tv will have to be set on the line input to view the signal from the dvd vcr combo.

That is as easy as I can put it. Study the diagram closely. You will see what I mean.

Last year i had a phillips 100hz tv which had a similar problem.
There can be one of 2 major problems :A processor chip which controls the colour and the tube which could have failed or both.
This could be an expensive repair if the spares are available,(Usually imported from there singapore branch)
I would first check the warranty and then take it to the agents.

any magnavox controler will work just put in some good batteries . lots retail wholesale stores like walmart carries magnavox tv remotes but make sure its a magnavox.

Hello pea16 serrure enfants means lock infants or as we say child lock.

Hold the display button down for 10 seconds, which removes the lock.
If that does not work try: unplugging the TV for about five minutes and see if that clears it, If you need the owner's manual you can goto: http://www.magnavox.com/ then click on support center and enter your model number.

Then go to the language section and select english.

i have a magnavax mptv68a, the red button is on but the screen is blank, it doesn't even appear to turn on. can you advise me on what to do
