If your Canon IR 2520 copier is showing a "paper jam" error message when powering on, but there is no paper in the fuser, it could be caused by a few different things:
A sensor problem: The copier may have a malfunctioning sensor that incorrectly detects a paper jam in the fuser. This sensor might need to be cleaned or replaced.
Wiring issue: There may be a problem with the wiring that connects the sensor to the main circuit board. A broken wire or loose connection could be causing the sensor to malfunction.
Software issue: The copier's software may have a bug causing it to display the "paper jam" error message even when there is no paper in the fuser.
Mechanical problem: The fuser assembly may have a mechanical issue, such as a jammed gear or roller preventing the copier from correctly sensing that there is no paper in the fuser.
It is best to have a professional technician diagnose the issue. They will be able to identify the specific cause of the problem and make the necessary repairs.
It's also important to check the owner's manual for troubleshooting options or error codes that might be displayed on the copier.
If the copier is still under warranty, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer for service.
Hi. Paper jams all the times , or frequently? Try to print the jam log from service mode. In that log it shows the exact sensor that is detecting the jam .
Is the display showing a jam in the fixing unit??? Did you l open and close all the doors & covers???? I have found that there is a plastic Exit flag on the small door that folds down on the fixing unit. It is plastic and it can break very easy. You may have to replace the flag. If you have another IR-C3220 try to switch the units with each other copier. The problem could also, be the black connector on the unit or in the copier, it may be broken... It is not easy to change the one inside the copier..... Good Luck
Canon fuser technology is hp laser printer system. This copier has a fuser film or eleventh cover. Some times its torn or short then this machine say E007.Its an error code. When occurred this E007 you should defective film.
