Take a flash lite an look in the tank. You may have debris on the screen. Then also you may have dirt in the float bowl that gets sloched around and covers the main jet. This question is a hard one to answer without being there. You didnt specify what machine.

sounds like the spark plug may be fouled or the fuel filter or carburetor is dirty.

My cub cadet won't stay running. I can mow for a will and it just sputters, and or dies. I let it cool off for about 10 minutes.It starts right up after it cools. It also starts to smoke when it gets...


Similar issue - buddies CubCadet with Kohler Courage 22 would not stay running. Turned out the coils got rusty where it interacts with flywheel. cleaned the contacts (be careful to shim for proper spacing) and ran like a top.

Sputtering Mower


It might not be disengaging the mower deck all the way off. I had this problem on an older model.

Toro lawn mower sputters and stops working after running


fuel delivery probblem might be vapor lock(to much heat getting to fuel lines and carb) may also have dirt in fuel bowl on carb and in tank ,gas tank lid may not be venting . it will be one of these three things
