Using a Dell 3300MP Multimedia Projector trying to connect to a mac via usb...says "cannot find signal", nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

you cannot pass a signal through a usb input. USB inputs on a computer are usually used from firmware upgrades or mouse control depending on projector.

Dell 3300mp Projector Loud Noise

Judging by the mains hum noise and now shaking it sounds as if a motorized component has broken.
Humming could have been the initial jam, then shaking the damaged part attempting to rotate.
Maybe check your cooling fan blades?

Guys, the projector doesn't do HDCP.  HDMI won't work.  You'll need to run over component or VGA.

How old is your unit and or how many hours are on the lamp?
As the lamps age they run hotter and it could need replacing.
If so, buy just the bulb instead of the lamp assy and install it yourself.
