I picked up a wonderful three tier glass table stand for this exact T.V. at Wal-mart for $189.99, This is fairly inexpensive compared to some of the options out there, but its well worth the money. The thing that is great about this is that there is no holes to drill, no making sure its level. You just put the setup together yourself, attach the bracket to the back of your t.v. then hang it up on the stand and your good to got. It's very durable and you can swivel left to right. If your looking to spend less, there are a million different places on the web offering wall mounts for $29.99 on up.

NEC model PX42VM2G service manual

You can search this database for the service info you seek about your tv here:

Most service manuals with schematics cost about $27.95 for the PDF version of it, otherwise the paper version is about $15.00 more for handling and shipping.

You will need the chassis number of the unit in question in order to search for it. I hope this helps!

If your referring ot an outside antenna or cable, your set does not have a tuner, it is a monitor style. You will have to get a converter box and use the video input ( yellow) (red/wht-audio) on the tv, or the component input ( green, blue, red ) on the tv, provided, the box has the output for it. Most cable boxes have these and the antenna dtv converter boxes do not as far as I know but look into it.

Help
Same problem here. PX-42VM2A (NEC PlasmaSync 42MP2) Turns on (status light green) then goes to standby mode (status light red) after what sounds like some electrical relays clicking over. If you're NOT still under warrantee you should at least open the TV and check the board where the components are mounted and resoled any that look bad. If you are using a surge protector, try connecting the set directly to the wall outlet. In your case it could caused by a blown fuse, a leaky diodes or a bad solder joint at the horizontal drive transformer. All can be replaced at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace If this does not correct the problem, you may need to have your TV serviced. good luck!
