Having probs after dl software...cam comes up and says not online...ive deleted and tried again...same prob. come sup jim

sounds like you may have a bug. In most cases an anti virus should fix the prob. However, some will not. in this case you can reload windows and it will fix the prob. Do a full install, not a repair. (formatting the hard drive)

Need to find a Vista compatable cam driver. If the cam is older, it will be harder to find.

I had the same problem and by accident I solved it by pressing a button. Up by my power button there is a group of 4 buttons the first one is i assume for e-mail the next is for internet i think the third is to start my wireless internet and the last one has a P1 above it thats the one that fixed the prob. for me. When i pressed it a pic. of a cam poped up briefly. It was so fast i had to try it again when i did a pic. of a cam with a line through it popped up so I knew I must have stumbled uppon turning it on and off. but now I have a new prob. When i start the cam it runs briefly then stops with a message that there was a prob. and windows searches for a solution and shuts the program down. It says they will notify me of a solution if there is one but i dont know how they can do that without any of my contact info. Press the on/off button down until the green light goes off. Than turn it back on again.

To be honest.i dont think you actually need software.
With my digital camera, a wizard pops up asking me if i want to transfer photos to my computer.

Try plugging your cam in to your computer and see if the wizard comes up.

i can solve your problem if u follow these steps:
1connect the device to your com
2.right click on ur device and format it
and then again connect it
tat will solve ur prob
i have the smae prob now it solved

i was useing my web cam logitech version 8.30.0000 it just froz again and again
