These tempratures are pretty cold should be around 0 deg. but it sounds like you might have a bad defrost timer or defrost thermostat the frost should not come back if defrost system is working
general design requires compressor on off ratio to be total run time to be 18 hrs on per 24 hr day off time allows compressor to cool down averaged over the day cool air is required around the outer walls of the fridge to cool the condenser coil at the rear also
every 6-8 hrs your ref. goes into a defrost mode. sounds to me like your fridge is getting stuck in defrost, may want to replace defrost timer roughly 18-45.00 dollars depending were you live. also ive seen a few that the electrical cord in back were it goes into ref mid way up to the left behind cover can have some loose connections back their; remove panel covering and inspect. becuz if its the timer it wouldnt cause the light not to work so it may not be your timer if the light it turning off.also make sure your outlet is good and the prongs on power cord are not loose. hope this helps
It sounds like a Freon leak. The compressor is running and it gets a little cold. THis is not something you can fix yourself. You have to have certification to buy freon and gauges and know exactly how to use them. Besides in most cases you can't find the leak and will have to keep recharging it.
check that the correct thermostat is installed and that the element wire is connected.check door rubber and door hinges.check if it has independant defrost timmers and if it is working.oh and see if the element is drawing current if fitted with one.
This is due to the failure of the thermostat device..hence its not controlling the temperature..If you are good at electrical appliance repair i can tell u how to fix it...Otherwise i advice you give it for servicing...Let me know what you have choosen..
i dont understand, ive checked all plugs and fuses????
