broiler works fine but oven wont come up to temp.

the problem was fixed with a new ignitor for the oven portion of the unit a 68$ item a few screws and 2 wire nuts to fix. the oven reachess temperature in a matter of minutes now.it is impossible to tell if the part is malfunctioning and the only way to tell is by changing it.i believe that the part breaks down from the high heat of the self cleaning use ,which i will never use again

GE XL44... Oven does not work. It was working just fine one day & then would not work. Everything else works fine. Stove has electric ignitiion. Could it be it is not working on the oven? Any ideas?

GE XL44 Oven and stovetop work - broiler does not work

The broiler is the top element in the oven. Look at it. Bad ones sometimes have burnt into or have a melted spot. If it looks ok take it out by removing the screws at the back and pull the wires out a little and unplug the element. With an ohm meter it should show continuity. Replace it if any of these things apply.

Xl44 oven burner pulses, doesnt properly heat up.

it seems the burner in the oven is clogged, by grease, carbon or corrosion, it may need replacing, specialy if this is an older unit

GE Spectra XL44 oes not heat to desired setting

The oven sensor ( WB21X5301) is suppose to tell the oven control when to turn on and off to reach and maintain oven temp, but before you go replacing it, try to observe how long it takes from the time you turn the oven on to the time the oven ignites. Ignition should be 30 seconds to about 90 seconds. If it is taking a very long time, replace the igniter (
WB2X9154
). Ignitors get weaker over time, and this should be looked at first, as both parts are not real cheap, so you don't want to just start throwing parts at it. Here is a trick you can try: On the JGBP90 (model you posted under) the broil ignitor is the same part number as the oven ignitor, so if the broiler, which is generally used much less than the oven, is working fine you can interchange the two ignitors to see if that solves your oven temp problem without having to buy a oven temp sensor first.
