Hello, Have a Magnovox RP2780A106 27'' TV Receiver that lost all video and audio a couple days ago. The remote only causes the set to click and then a few seconds later it clicks again. Trying to turn it off and on using the button on the set mimicks the actions of the remote. I have removed the back of the set and checked the fuse and it appears to be OK. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

These units had problems with the horizontal drive circuit. If it is clicking the main fuse is definately OK. These parts are pretty small surface mount parts and can be tricky to replace. A good shop should be able to help you out and it should not be real expensive. Thanks

I have a magnovox TB110mw9 reciever that the audio button on remote does not work. it is hooked to a magnovox 20mt1331/17 tv. we have a RCA universal 4 device remote programmed to both. my 2 year old...

Universals do not do specific buttons like the AUDIO button on your Magnavox. Instead of wasting up to $20 on a universal that probably will not work, you should by the original remote for whatever it costs, because you know it will do all the features for your Magnavox unit that it has to offer. Many times ReplacementRemotes.com will get Refurbished remote available for really cheap. LIke $10 - $15. You can subscribe to the product so next time they get one in, the site will notify you immediately that they are in-stock.

Hmdi input has lost audio

several things could cause that:
1. hdmi cable is no good.
2. receiver and TV are not fully compatible. I noticed few times that philips tvs had problems with denon receivers. Some times you need o unplug hdmi cable and plug it in back to get sound.
3. firmware issue. depends on model of your receiver there could be a software upgrade to resolve the problem.
4. somebody (kids) accidentally pressed some buttons and reassigned video input for that video source (video select button on a remote control), etc. Resetting the receiver usually helps.
5 Receiver (hdmi board is no good) or TV is no good.
so next time when it happens check video source, video input assign then try to swap hdmi cable and TV

I have an audio problem with my TX-SR502.

If your remote also controls the Cable Box you might want to look at its audio settings. Maybe you muted it.

BTW: it would be a good idea to also run video and analog audio from the cable box directly to the TV if it has speakers so you can watch and listen independent of the Onkyo.

Re: 322 DTV Receiver - snowy screen on tv 2

Lets check the modulator set up at the main location TV 1. Press menu - 6-1-5 this will display how the TV 2 IS SET UP. It should say 22 air and if not use the arrow keys on the remote to change that info. Once you are done click done and go to the TV2 and see if it is working. It should be if you are set to view air or antenna channels on the TV2. If not there needs to be a few more things done to isolate the issue. Let me know and we will go from there. Thhanks for using Fix Ya.
