At this point the first thing i would check would be the capacitors make sure they aren't bad click HERE for a pic of capacitors. the green ones are good the blue ones are bad. sometimes there isn't stuff popping out the top sometimes they are just domed.. if those are good i would try a different processor.. i have also seen in a few computers the memory cause it to not power (not sure if the M871G would do this but its a possibility )

Power light flashing HP Compaq Presario SR1230NX PC Desktop I powered the unit down; when I tried to powered it up the only reaction is a green led flashing. The led is located in the back close to the...

Sounds like the Power Supply is bad likes its not able to power on itself. Best thing to do, try a different known good power supply and attach it to the motherboard, if you get the same symptom with the machine not powering on then its a bad motherboard. If the machine does power on then you know your original power supply is bad.

EMachine T2482 Computer won't power on or boot up.

Try removing the power cable from the power supply. Wait 10 seconds, and replace it again. Try powering up the computer. If it doesn't power up, check that the motherboard has power (there should be a LED on the board which is lit up. Of course, check the fuse also in the plug.

If the LED is on, you have a failed motherboard / Switch. If the LED is off, then you have a failed power supply. Beware though, if the PSU has blown, it could easily have taken the motherboard with it.

Pwr/slp/msg led not glow but the hdd led is always on

hi im josh in cebu phils. may i help you? not open or no boot. If it doesn't boot or power on and no prsence of current on your pc. The main problem is motherboard. it may be no current is running on the board.because the supply chord was lost or not enough supply to make the motherboard execute.check if your power cable 16 pins is connected and the 4 pins 12 volts power support.if it loosen thats the problem. Sometimes the compatibility of your processor and the mainboard is needed.if both of these is for the first time check the compatibility of the mainboard and the processor in your support manual. good luck!

Donot startup

Hi,

Try doing flea power & the power cycle.

1. Disconnect all the peripherals like keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner & monitor and power supply from the CPU.

And press & hold the power button for 1 min, it will release the flea power from the mother board.

Restart the system & check.

2. Disconnect everything.wait for 5-10 minutes and then connect every thing & start the system.

Restart the system.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck.
