Question about Bose SoundDock digital music system Docking Station for iPod - White (35703)

I just installed a new battery in my ipod and now I have no sound coming fromn the earphone jack, it will play with sound in the docking station.

Sounds like the jack on the ipod for the headphones is not connected properly. i would take a look at that spot inside the ipod see if anything is getting bent or crossed. or take it into someone who knows electronics and has some equipment to check the lines inside the ipod.

Charges, plays on docking station,but doesn't play when removed.

try doing a firmware update when you plug it into your computer, there should be an option in iTunes in the My iPod section to check for new firmware.

Sound does not come out of docking station

It is most likely the 30 pin connector on the Logitech that is the problem. They can break if the incorrect iPod inserts have been used. Try playing someone else's iPod on it, if no go it's busted. Repairs are difficult if not impossible. Sorry

Need to connect my ipod to the receiver.

You can do this a couple of ways, depending on the model of iPod.
1. Almost every iPod has an 1/8" earphone jack. Almost every Receiver has RCA input jacks. At Radio Shack, or any store with an electronics section, ask them for an cable with the 1/8" earphone plug on one end and stereo RCA jacks on the other.
Plug the RCA jacks into the receiver, taking note of the name of the input (Aux, iPod, Tape, etc) and plug the other end into the iPod. Set your receiver for the input you're connected to and press Play on your iPod. Enjoy music.
2. From the Apple Store, or any iPod dealer, purchase an iPod Dock for your particular model. Ask the same friendly folks for an audio connection cable and do the same as above for the Receiver end. On the iPod end, just set the iPod into the dock and press Play.

Bose sound dock - no sound comes through it but my ipod works with the ear plugs so it's not my ipod

I had this problem for the pat two days. Believe it or not I took my Ipod touch of the dock. Shut the power off to the Ipod to reset it. Also the power to the docking station. turned everything back on. Put the Ipod back into the docking station and heard the beep.. and hit play and it was working again. Not sure but shutting Ipod off does act like a reset.

Ipod cuts out when played through speaker system

i have somewhat of a similar problem with my ipod Touch and my JBL docking station alarm clock thingy. It may just be that the ipod is not compatible on some of the levels that the Igroove is. With my docking station, it wont charge my ipod touch itll only play music

My sansa e280 will not play on the docking station or computer.

Two problems:
1) Your Sansa (and just about any other mp3 player) will not play while it is connected to the computer - it is only supposed to play once it is disconnected from the computer
2) Your docking station might be for brand-name iPod's only - using an incompatible docking station is one possible way to ruin your player

Get a simpler external speaker system with an audio jack that runs from the headphone jack of Sansa to the input jack of the docking station.

Ipod nano not charging on docking system, it has low battery if none, can play with a little charge on ipod but has to be charged with plug first, the docking system is brand new aswell and is charging...

for some **** reason the new ipod nano (4th generation) does not support FireWire and therefore will not charge on any docking station that is a FireWire power sorce - which seems to be most of them out there!
have same problem so will end up charging from computer as docking station still plays the new nano, no point in buying new docking station just for sake of charging!

IPod MA146LL/A no sound

You should check and see if the headphone jack is broke or not. That sometimes accounts for the reason why sound won't come out.
