Try repairing the device before performing the firmware upgrade:
Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).

How do I download music to my Sansa Clip MP3 Player

First, you have songs into your computer. Then, plug the device to computer and use one of two ways to download music to your Sansa Clip:
1. Select songs you want transfer, drag & drop them into Music folder in the device.
2. Use Windows Media Player: plug device to pc, open windows media player, click on Sync tab, drag and drop songs selected to Sync List space (on the right side of wmp), click on Start Sync button to transfer.
Good luck

I need help syncing my mp3 to my pc to download

Make sure you have the usb cable and player and hook it up to your computer. Also make sure you have windows media player 9 and up. You can either download music or rip your cds to your media library. Then make sure that your device is hooked up to the computer and the computer know what model and make it is. Then in in your media player, click sync or sync to device. Then you can drag or highlight your music to the sync list. Then click sync at the bottom of the sync list. Once all of your music files are finished syncing then you can remove the device. Then turn the device on and it should have all the mp3 songs that you choosed to sync. Hope this helped.

Trying to add songs from my computer to my ipod using windows media player trying to sync it for music on windows vista well under sync tab it does not reconize the device keeps saying connect a device

iPods connect to your computer via iTunes.
You can download iTunes here free: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
All the music files currently in your Windows Media Player can all be transferred into iTunes, so no worries about losing your music.

Hope that helps.

Unable to sync music

What happened when you tried to sync? it could be a device certificate error...what i would recommend you to do is to sync using your windows media player...assuming that you have windows media player 11...open up your windows media player and click on sync..then you can drag the tracks you want to sync and then click on start sync...if you are not able to transfer the songs to it..use a song that is not from yahoo like the sample one that came with your computer and see what happen...if that doesnt solve the problem check your usb mode..it should be under MTP mode or auto....then open up your windows media player and format the device there...after you have done that..that should solve the problem you are having..let me know what the outcome is....
