Hello

Just set it to factory defaults first. Setting it to cactory defaults, will reset all the items except picture settigns. Parential password will also be get resetted. You have to set it later. To reset the TV to factory defaults, do the following.

[1] Push Menu button and select Setup.
[[2] Select Reset To Defaults from the drop down window.
[3] Push OK button.
The TV will reset to factory defaults and will display it. After that it will switch ON again. Ok

I was using my acr cables for normal tv then I went and got an HD tv and an hd cable for my ps3 now when I try and use my normal cabels on a non hd tv the ps3 does not show on the normal tv wat can I do?

Hi, what you need to do is reset the display back to standard. Please follow these steps to do this :

Step 1. Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep when you first press it, then beep again 5 seconds later. Release the power button when you hear this second beep.

Step 3. Wait for the PS3 display to reset

Cant get picture on my tv. its a normal tv (no hd) but tried on mates hd tv and the message on the tv says MODE NOT SUPPORTED. Howdo i get my ps3 to work on my normal tv?

Hi there, what you need to do is reset the display. Follow these steps :

Step 1 Turn the PS3 off into standby mode (red light on)

Step 2 Press and hold the power button. It will beep when you first press it then beep again 5 seconds later. Release the power button when you hear this second beep.

Step 3 Wait for the PS3 display to reset.

You should now be able to get a picture from your PS3 in standard definition

Please try these steps to reset your display :

Step 1. Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep when you first press it then beep again 5 seconds later. Release the power button when you hear this second beep.

Step 3. Wait for your PS3 display to reset.

Had the ps3 working fine, plugged it into another tv and nothing, the tv wont pick up the signal.. went to plug it back into the 1st tv and still nothing

Try resetting the display back to standard definition -

Cannot set up ps3 on older big screen tv - no hdml - when using colored input wires - cannot find on tv using input - WII is on video 2 tried using the same plug ins - did not work - any ideas

You need to reset the video resolution back to standard by doing the following :-

Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)
Press and hold the power button. It will beep when you first press it, then beep again 5 seconds later. Release the power button when you hear this second beep.
The display will now reset back to standard definition.

I can't set up my playstation 3 to my . The lead what goes to the back of my tv is not working. As soon as turn on my ps3 nothing comes up on my tv

Please try this following solution :

Step 1. Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep as soon as you press it and then about 5 seconds later it will beep again. Let go of the power button when you hear this second beep.

Step 3. Wait for your PS3 to start.

This solution basically resets the video output back to standard definition.

i believed the problem is the TV mode. (NTSC or PAL mode)

try this
turn mic OFF
press and hold 8 then press power buton (PAL to NTSC)
or
turn mic OFF
press ang hold 9 then press power button (PAL to NTSC)

The model you have selected should have a self check feature: when turns off and the green power light goes off:

ON THE FRONT OF THE SET PRESS AND HOLD BOTH MENU AND INPUT together for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

The power light should blink a two digit error code: for example: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code about 10 times.

error codes for this set:

1, then 2 no error detected
2, then 1 X-ray protection
2, then 2 short protection
2, then 3 deflection circuit problem
2, then 4 vertical deflection problem

2, then 2 is the most common and easiest to fix.

Let me know what you find and if 2,2 I have detailed instructions for repairing that kind of trouble.

I have the 2 2 error code and had white residue on the digital board I believe from the lens leaking. I tried cleaning the residue off but that didn't fix it.
