That is not the model number for your opener. The model number is on the opposite end of where you found that number. It starts with 139. and you should be able to down load a manual from Sears Parts or you can google owners manuals.

A wireless keypad will not work with your opener. Your opener is pretty old and the new models are much safer. You might consider replacing the entire thing.

You need to remove the cover from the motor unit and check the limit switch assembly. You could have a broken or loose wire. Watch the operation and you should be able to tell what is wrong.

The lights on the sensors must be on for the door to operate properly. If the wiring is okay you need new sensors. I don't know what "tension" means but if you have a control that is tough to turn you have additional problems. Might just be time for a new opener.

The inside button is hard wired. The keypad is a small radio transmitter. If the battery in the keypad is good and it doesn't work when you put in the code it has probably just quit.

Craftsman Model 139.53684 Keyless entry doesn't work

The remotes and keypad use the receiver which is part of the logic board.'t The button on the wall is hardwired and doesn't use the receiver. You might pull the logic board and check for bad connections on the printed circuit.

Garage Door will not open

Sounds like a loose connection inside the unit. When you move the light fixture on the motor and get it to light, the contact is reestablished, possibly being a loose wire. With the vibration from the operation of the opener, the connection will lose its contact again and the motor ceases to function. Have an electrician give it a look or disable it's power so that you can remove the cover(s) and investigate yourself.
