I have a PCR-T2100. I don't need PLUs, just some simple tax functions. Department key 1 is no tax, 6 is set to 5%, and 11 is 13% (GST & PST combined). But everytime i try to use it, i get E026 (Enter Condiment, Preparation PLU). Any help would be appreciate

Use the PGM key and set to PGM. 3, sub total, enter tax table {1, 2, 3, 4}, Tax PGM, 13.00, ca/amt tend, skip to set 'round off/add-on', ca/amt tend, sub total. 4 tax tables are used for the following purposes: table 1 for the federal tax items, table 2 for the provincial tax, 3 and 4 for provincial and different tax table.
It depends on how it is set up currently. You need to set two tax rates (tax1 and tax 2) in the machine, then link them to various departments. It is best to print out the tax settings first, then copy the status when setting the second tax. This is described in the manual.

Once you have the manual, I can work you through it.
You need to set one rate for HST and change your department links to look at the single rate. Which tax numbers do you use at the moment? E.g. tax1 PST, tax2, GST. We need to know which tax numbers are allocated for which tax types.

Without the model and make of register its kinda hard to determine the exact method to fix this issue but, what you have done is to set the department to enable both taxes to be chared. What you have to do is to choose only one tax table per deptment
