Update to existing problem;
I have a Maytag side by side refridgerator with the ice maker on top and the bin below that moves the ice to the door dispenser.
It appears that the tray is refilling before the ice has been dropped into the bin, causing the water to overflow into the bin.
This is causing two major problems; the water in the bin causes the ice to clump together, and freezes the auger, preventing it from turning. the other problem is that the additional water in the tray freezes, creating giant ice cubes that are difficult to cycle, both from the tray and through the dispenser.
I replaced the ice maker itself, but the problem is continuing.
I tested the test points on the ice maker L & N to verify voltage, tested mold heater (71 ohms) adjusted water level, I shorted T & H to run motor and verify cycle including heater function and water fill. I have checked everything I can think of but for whatever reason, every couple of cycles of ice, the tray fills with water and a few minutes later it fills a second time, causing the tray to overflow.
I would recommend changing the water valves as they may be sticking or leaking now you can take the icemaker loose get a small baby bottle short the terminals to cycle water fill catch it with the bottle and see how much water it dumps should be about 4 ounces if the valve leaks will over fill the ice maker over a period of time say the valve is leaking a few drops at a time and the bail arm has the icemaker shut off because its touching ice in the bin but the water just keeps dripping down the fill tube till it runs over did you replace the whole icemaker or just the motor module
well if it was me id replace them in case they are sticking you house water pressure opens and closes them but you can check them with the baby bottle method as i out lined its no good ohming the solenoid because they just relieves spring pressure so your house pressure can open them the water valves have a round disc in them with calibrated holes in them your house pressure pushes on the bottom and on the top of this disc this puts the disc in a neutral enviroment on top of this disc is a spring holding it shut when electricity is applied to the solenoid it lifts the spring off the disc and your house pressure pops it open when electricity is removed the spring shuts the valve now because of lime scale a piece of trash the spring may close the valve slowly because the disc cant slide freely so you overfill Even though the valve seems to work

HELLO!!!
THIS MAY HELP U ...
http://www.applianceaid.com/icemaker.html#overflowing
You
have two sides to the water control valve. One side is for the water coming from
fountain and the second side is to refill your ice maker after each cycle of
dumping ice into the ice bin. The freezer should be a 5 degrees or below for
the ice maker to function properly. If the ice maker is empty then fill with
tap water up to top edge of the ice maker and allow to freeze. If after the
water freezes and dumps the ice into the ice bin the ice maker does not refill
I would recommend replacing part=> 67006009 Dual Water Control
Valve
or here=> 67006009 Dual Water Control Valve
If the ice maker has old ice inside and does not want to dump itself it will be considered defective and the ice maker core moduel will need be replaced=> W10190972 Ice Maker Assembly

I replaced the whole ice maker, so it must be something else, possibly the valves, although i'm not sure how to check/repair it, or should I just replace the valve(s)?
water overflows in the ice maker well
