started with different color pixels not coming in till the tv warmed up. Hadf to turn TV on and off several times before clear screen. Last night TV went black with a giant red x in the middle of screen. Now just 99% black.
Make sure properly connected and tightly sure cover put on and screws in,if change projection bulb, still blinking "LAMP" LED indication light. But,if "LAMP"LED indication flashes and making clicking noise.Ur Ballast board also dead.Require replacement, this Ballast board help to ignite the projection bulb.

Power issues (Tv not turning on) were typically due to faulty ballast.
While the TV reports a bad lamp it is the ballast itself causing the
issue. Samsung is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the
lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast).
After replacment most people stop having issues.
HLS4266W 43" dlp. In less than 1 yr whining grew worse, but did know what it was. Year passed with warranty and lamp went out. Replaced lamp. Worked for 3.5 hrs. Turned on next day and did not work. Got another lamp, but did not work. Figured out might be color wheel. Replaced it too. TV started up. Watched that night. Turned on next day, heard loud pop. Lamp never came on. Withdrew and reinstalled lamp a couple times to see if that worked. Did not. Currently, with new lamp and color wheel installed, lamp light blinks, but no lamp comes on. What now?
I am not in my shop, so, I cannot look at the schematic.
The only problem I have seen with two lights blinking with this set is an intermitent thermal fuse above the lamp.
Sometimes the lamp door switch is in the up position and it needs to be down (This normally occurs when the lamp door has been opened and it also comes from the factory in the wrong position.
