Check house fuse/circuit breaker
door switch
if an electric dryer the thermal fuse as they are often wired into the motor run circuit
check for power to the motor in start and run circuit, if present motors spent.
if not present trace back to timer and verify timer is sending power, if not timers spent.
more likely circuit breaker, door switch or thermal fuse if electric dryer..

The most likely part that has gone out is the thermal fuse. What will make that go out so quickly is a blocked vent causing excessive heat build in dryer. Did the dryer that this new one replaced havea similar problem of not starting or perhaps it ran but took forever to dry a load of clothing? if that was the case the venting caused the problem with both old and new dryer

Hi-- none of the solutions I've read here are working. Same problem, dryer not starting, it says "Sensing..." and then "Wet" and does nothing. It worked fine on the last load, except I noticed it read 11 minutes for a very, very long time (I think it got stuck). New load? "Sensing..." etc.
