Once u zoom into the picture that is very far away how do u keep the picture zoomed in after u snap the shot ...

Once you've framed your shot (zoomed in) and taken the picture. That's it, the picture you've taken is the one in your view finder, and that's the way its kept.

However, if you want to zoom in further, you can using the software you were provided with your camera, you can, you can also zoom in using your camera menu. Once happy you can then save the edited picture. But this time its a digital zoom and it will reduce the resolution. The picture won't look quite as fine. It will be a balance between picture quality and the extent you want to zoom in.

When the camera is in take a picture mode, the view finder is black. When viewing pictures pictures previously taken, they are show on the view finder. Why is it black in this mode?

A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

When I take a picture with the Canon Rebel, it doesn't focus in the view finder, but when I look at the picture after it has been taken, it is clear and in focus. Why can't it looked focused when looking...

Good day,

The problem you might be having is that the view finder is out of focus.
If this is the problem it is an easy fix.
You will see a small wheel next to the view finder (it has a + and a - next to it), look through the view finder and let the camera focus on an object. Now turn the wheel and you will see the image either get worse or start to come in focus. Adjust the wheel until you are satisfied with the clarity.

Please let me know if this was helpful!

Hi
I have got an S5000 that I can still view previously taken pictures from the card, but when trying to take pictures the screen and view finder shows a peculiar distorted purple and green picture and any picture taken is just a green blur.
I contacted Fuji and they say they can repair it for £90 (about $120)

FinePix F470 Lines on images and faded colors on photo mode.

You have over exposed pictures due to the shutter sticking.
The video is the clue to the problem. It doesn't use the shutter.

Cannon s 500 Picture with Just lines

Hi,
This is a known issue with Canon, it's mentioned on their support pages, FAQ ID: 37383. Horizontal lines appear in the preview picture once the photo is taken. I have a Canon Ixus 500 and I rang Canon UK and they gave me a case number and list of authorised dealers via email for a free repair.
Hope this helps

Distorted picture when looking through view finder or lcd screen

the video playback is sampled off the video out and independently processed sorta like a TV signal to project on the lcd screen.
horizontal lines means you lost sync circuit and needs troubleshooting. Hopefully maybe a bad connection with a ribbon cable for the ICs and components are hard to change and jammed tight. I would order a video board.
