Re: panorama not working.how can i adjust it?
This has to do with the settings. Go to your user manual and look up the settings in the menu, if you don't have a manual, download one. Use google.com and input your camera and the model similar to this... " Olympus FE-170 user manual pdf ' This should get you to what you need, down load the manual and view it to see how to set the menus. You can set all the menus to factory default or reset all, or some thing similar in the menus.

Instead of trying to make the TV display the picture the right size I suggest you adjust it at the source. If it is a cable box or sat box there should be a display adjust capability to size the display to the native resolution of your TV.
I think you mean Landscape. Just push the button next to the top display panel. Push it again until it shows the setting you want. Panorama is not available on the QTsi. Panorama mode blocks out the top and bottom of the frame to give you a shorter picture top to bottom. Landscape mode just biases the camera towards smaller lens openings to get more of the image in focus. By default, this makes exposure times longer, so use a tripod for landscape images.
Forget the in-pano function and use a free stitching program off the internet. When shooting panoramas, you need to be in aperature priority or manual mode so as to keep the exposure consistant, especially going into the sun or away from it in your pictures. Although this is good practice, it is not needed for a few stitch programs as they average out all the exposures and make the entire pic uniform. This works pretty good in all but the most demanding exposure swings.
If I remember my last Olympus camera it would only work in Panorama mode with an official Olympus memory card. No third party cards would enable that feature. My instructions read "An Olympus xD-Picture Card is
required for panorama shooting." If you are using an official Olympus xD-Picture card, there may be a problem with your camera.
The panorama function on the Olympus Smartmedia card is a header on the card that allows the Panorama function to work on the camera, displaying "helper" lines on the LCD display and fixing the exposure to the first shot taken. Photos taken with the panorama function can be stitched together using the Camedia Software supplied with your camera. The Camedia Panoramic function is OK, but I prefer the results I get with PanaVue Image assembler.
The header is only available on the Olympus cards. But it can be written on any smartmedia card using the smprep/Winhex editor process using and a card reader/writer detailed on this forum. Use the search function for "pan smprep" and you'll find out how.
