When reloading windows and you are on the blue

Trying to help a friend @ work. His son's piano teacher (64 yr old) grandmother who has a very nice Compaq Presario C727 which is used for email only. I have tried to reload Windows from the Windows XP Pro CD and every time when reloading Windows
When reloading windows and you are on the blue screen of the reinstall, Windows states that "Windows is starting" aka loading the GUI, but it never does. The system just hangs up. I have run several programs to test the hard drive to make sure that it is not the problem. I even put in a new hard drive, but that didn't work either. Suggestion??

Probably the problem is in the RAM, first open the RAM(s) and clean its both side copper teeth with a pencil eraser and try to setup XP. If not works then replace the RAM(s) and try again. Thanks.

"Great teacher (Sandy) with lots of patient. Friendly and nice and also passionate till I have little time to rest my poor little hand. Learned for about a year plus and now can play more fluently and confidently. Price is acceptable and duration is just nice."

What is the definition and symptoms of Munchhausen Syndrome?

Your description could indicate Munchausen's by Proxy - a well documented condition, though the subject could potentially be suffering any number of psychological maladjustments including being bone idle and unwilling to work and his behaviour just a means to an end.

I suggest you take your question over to the ehealth forum for another airing.

XPS-410 needs to have MCE 2005 Rollup two SP3 replaced by Windows 7 64 bit. Too many problems to list currently but will work limited programs

Not sure what you are trying to do. If you are trying to convert 32 bit to 64 bit Apps, try going to manufacturers website to look for drivers.
Win 7 will actually find the best drivers for your devices.

I have a Toshiba Satellite running Vista and am having all kinds of trouble lately. I'm getting blue screens, trouble shutting down, 'Not Responding', etc errors. I use this laptop for both personal and...

as long as you are not having a hardware issue, windows 7 fixes alot of vistanogo's problems. i would recommend windows 7 professional for mixed home office use and 64 bit. if you are having alot of blue screens, i recommend trying to reload windows to factory settings. the 0(zero) key is the one you press and hold with eht battery out and connected to dc power to get to the restore partition. follow the prompts and reinstall. if this works reinstall all the updates for vista up to and to include service pack 2. then purchase windows 7(do not recommend pirated software because of the risk of viruses and errors). install the update to windows 7 option and repost on your findings.

I'm trying to upgrade from 64-bit Vista to 64 bit Windows 7. When I run the installation disk, I'm getting the following error message, which appears to be contradictory in my opinion:...

I have seen this type of problem before, the only real way around it is to install a fresh copy of windows 7 not to upgrade, you will receive a message that asks you if you want to keep the previous windows in a folder called old windows, from there you will be able to access all your old files and programs, be aware though some programs may not work on windows 7, and you may need to have updated drivers for the systems peripherals. So when you run the windows 7 disk choose clean install and go from there. i hope this helps
