My everex NC1500 wont power on. How do I fix this?
Most likely it is the small switch that activates when the lid is closed. spray with a good tuner cleaner (radio shack) and using a tooth pick, push it down gently and let it snap up.

your hard drive is corrupted. I have the same laptop that you have. There is a small partician for the utilities and the other big one for the windows.. the unit will not boot to the windows because that partician is corrupted and so it looks for the next bootable partition... the utility one. See if you can boot from your CD using an antivirus disc or system disc.. (you might have to change cmos to boot from it before the hard drive for this to work). If you can get it up, you might be able to repair the windows partition.
NOTE.. Since your utility partition works it seems, your drive sounds like it might be OK. If you can not get into your utility partition, your drive may have died.. (This is usually caused by dropping the laptop from more than 12 inches while it is running) like setting down hard on a desk for example (what I did to destroy my hardd drive).

this isnt reallu a solution but mine wont turn on i put the power cord in it and the fan started but thgen nothing happened and the batery chargin light is blinking constatly
