Let it dry first!i hope you took the battery out soon as it got wet because if water got to your motherboard you are in trouble!if its dry and it dont work replace it!look on the back of the keyboard and get the model or part number the type it on google!

Please go to start >programs>accessories>accessibility and then onscreen keyboard. Open a notepad and then type using the onscreen keyboard. If it works, then you need to get your keyboard replaced. Please contact Dell and check if you have Complete Care Warranty or not.

Get a replacement keyboard from Ebay, they run about $20

Remove the LCD hinge cover, take out the keyboard screws, flip keyboard and disconnect cable, reverse to install new one

Good thing only the keyboard is not working! To answer your question, yes. Changing your laptop's keyboard should fix it. Letting it dry for a couple of days (depends on how wet it go) MIGHT also work. Well, if it doesn't work, just continue with your plan to change the keyboard.

Keyboard and trackpad got wet

it may work when it dies out...otherwise you will most likely have to take and have the keyboard replaced
