Are you describing a CONVERGENCE problem? Picture is bowed or looks threeD----red or blue are out of place?

If this is what you have go into the customer menu and select convergence and look there--if either red or blue is off and will not move--you have a convergence problem.

I know a lot about this set---I have fixed hundreds of them with this kind of problem.

Confirm the problem to me and I will give you options--first on what is involved for you to repair it yourself and if you cannot I have other suggestions.

can you unbolt lower hinge from Door and put thin spacer between hinge and door. that should lift opposite side.

your convergances amps have failed not a bad job but suggest you have a tech take care of it

My screen has a blue line that sags from the left side to the right. It is in the top 3rd of the screen. It is not a single thin line.

Your TV has bad convergence IC's. This problem needs a professional Tech to replace these parts. The average cost should be around $450. Call a factory authorized dealer.

TV has a 3D look to it. looks like the top left of the screen is sagging taking the colors to 3D. bottom right of the screen is fine

sounds like the convergence has gone out.

Split colors on screen

Replace the two convergence Ics they are STK392-110 if your model is the 53FDX20B you can get replacement Ics with installation instructions at the following link.

Sony KP-51ws500 Sagging Picture and blurred colors

Bad convergence Amp ics mounted to large metal heat sinks on deflection bd.Sony parts around $40.00 each-generic approx 12.00 ea.The board must be pulled out of chassis frame to unsolder the ICs.and some alignment will be needed after replacement.NOT a do it yourself job unless experienced at soldering and desoldering.

Hitachi 46f500 convergence?

a common problem wich i also have with convergence with blue and red convergence.
the image converge amplifiers are burnet out wich in turn blow out resisters that control individual color convergence.

Adjust convergents for blue.This is done with your remote control. go into menu, setup, instructions will come up on screen, also in manual.
