No tips, but if you have tip on how to remove base that would help us out..we hung on wall and cannot remove the 4 screws to remove base, only 2 would come out.

Hello, my parents bought a Samsung LNT4671F 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD TV about two years ago unfortunately me and my brother cracked the screen about 3 months after we have not fixed it. Me and my brother...

It is beyond any reasonable repair---screen unit is called a display panel and the most expensive part in the set---cost of this would (just the part) be more than a brand new set.

Let it go, some people do sell sets damaged like this on EBAY for parts.....

NO PICTURE ON MY LN-S4692 TV

This is a brand new TV. The first 100 hours it shuts down and a Service Tech will but a new chip set in. This is how it is calibrated by Samsung. Don't worry, the new chip set is a lot better. Let me know if you just bought this TV? If it has already been calibrated, I'll troubleshoot it for you.

TV shuts off by itself

My first guess is bad connections on the Power supply board or inverter board. Hard sometimes for even a tech to find.

Picture distortion in samsung LCD SB42W5

This can be a failure in the panel itself, or the driver circuits to the panel. It is serviced by factory level diagnostics and board replacements. This take specialized training, tools, and setups to perform.

Considering the set is 5+ years old, it most likely will not be cost effective to service. There is also the possiblilty that the circuit boards may no longer be available. I would suggest to replace the set rather than service it.

When servicing a set with a number of years of use, there are many other components and circuit boards that can potentialy fail. As electronic components age and have use, the posibility of failure increases.
