The led is blinking and the screen is flashing and stays black, no picture or desktop appears and monitor menu doesn't work when power on comp after being off for few hours or longer, Tried with changing cables, turning on and of menu times, pulling out and in power cable, restarting computer.. nothing! If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines

It can be due to dying power supply due to bad caps, that will be the first place to look.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:

I believe the power led button is still on while the screen goes black, if yes, it means the picture board of your monitor is bad that is why it appears for a second and goes black after that

Since the power led button is on, It means the picture board on your monitor is faulty that is why it appears for a second and goes black.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer or any service center within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself in other to complicate issues.

un plug the monitor cables power cord everything turn off the computer the reconnect everything power back up turn on the monitor should work then

man jst remove ur ram nd use a eraser rub the ram then insert the ram properly nd also check ur cmos battery.......ur work is done....

This sounds as if you are using the hibernate feature in windows reboot it and reset the power options to hibernate never check the vid connection as well

Not a power problem. Could a memory problem try changing the memory (DDR SDRAM), see if monitor comes on and if the system does a POST (power on self test) That should indacate any further problems if any.

there might be a problem in your monitor. replace the monitor with a new working monitor.
