I have just bought an AV sender with jack plugs and no scart leads, which is cool. I have connect the transmitter into my sky box and the receiver into the up stairs TV. However, no matter which way, I cannot get anything upstairs.

Your sky box should have 2 scarts ;input and tv.I have one so as can watch sky upstairs and on projector screen.
reciever sender is in av on tv upstairs sender downstairs is in scart next to tv scart on skybox scart lead in tv scart connected to av on tv.some senders need to be turned on.when you plug in adapter and led is on doesnt necessarily mean sender is on .is this a new sender with instructions youve bought

I cant view my sky channel on my tv

So you want to view your sky TV in a different room?
You can achieve this a number of ways.

Purchase the multi-room package from Sky TV. This will give you fully independent TV reception in each room. (Basically two sky boxes)

Purchase a TV sender which will wirelessly duplicate the output on the TV to another device.

Connect your Sky box to a second TV with high-quality co-axial aerial cable connected to the RF2 output on the back of the Sky box.

Hi Jim, your nearly there, all you need to do is go into the tv menu and move from DTV to the old type channel numbers and then find the bit where you can manually tune the tv to channel 68.
Have a sky menu picture running and you will see it come in.

If I understand your problem the Y splitter is a passive splitter which mean that the centre pins are connected via capacitors this will degrade the picture on one or both outlets, the Sky box should be connected via a scart or HDMI connection

Samsung ps42a457 picture disappeared whilst watching, sound still present

Change input device to some other like a DVD player and see.
Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry.
If problem persists, call in a qualified service technician.

Red and white are only Audio ports.

IF there is a scart port plug your av receiver into the scart. Take note on which number your on ie channel there should be several numbers you can choose on your tx/rx then go down stairs to your sky box and ensuring that you are on the same number as the one upstairs.
Then just plug it into the back of your sky Box.. the number on your sender are incase your getting interfearance from other sources in the home. have a play with this and see what works best

Hope this Helps

Hannspree 32" lc

The only workarounds I have seen, are pull out pin number eight out on your scart lead, this will stop it auto switching, or alot of these wireless video senders block the auto switching features when connected up through the via the scarts.
