OKI C5600 error code 411 says toner cartridge is empty (isn't)

Hi, I have an OKI C5600 printer. Printer has been working fine. The M Magenta cartridge was low/empty. I have replaced this with a new full one. But I was still getting the warning message. Now I get 411 toner empty message and printer will not even print black and white. Reading other FAQ, I tried to turn on printer while pressing menu button. Didn't help. I can't get to any of the menu pages, none of the buttons seem to work now that I have this 411 error. I have taken the cartridge/drum unit back out a couple of times and cleaned what I think is the sensor, but nothing is/was dirty and lever for the toner is right over in normal position. thanks Chris.

Toner sensor error

take out the magenta cartridge. and make sure the edges are clean. There are little metal pieces on the sides where the sensor reads the cartridge. Also, make sure the "lock" on the cartridge is locked.

Toner sensor error

Hi

This error comes up when the printer detects that the toner of particular color is missing. This indicated that the indicated color toner is missing from the printer(eg-- C = Cyan, Y = Yellow, M = Magenta, K = Black).

C5150 may face a toner sensor error after installing used sets of toner cartridges and sometimes even after installing new toner cartridges as well. This error can be bypassed. This can be disabled by following these steps---

1. Turn machine on while pushing and holding the (+/-), menu buttons at same time.
2. Menu window will show OKI USER.
3. Scroll to Engine Dialog Mode is indicated Push Enter button.
4. Diagnostic Mode xx xx xx S Mode is indicated.
5. ( = 2 ) . Press (- or +) button until “ENGINE - PARAMETER SET =2” is displayed.
6. Push Enter button.
7. TONER SENSOR - ENABLE is displayed.
8. Push Enter button.
9. Press (- / +) TONER SENSOR = DISABLE is displayed.
10. Press ON LINE CANCEL buttons at same time.
11. (*) is displayed.
12. Restart the Printer.

Printer COki5150n....

I had the same problem. I came across the 160 error after I moved drums around. My issue started with error code 161. which appears to be the Magenta drum. Moving it to other color locations gave me errors 160, 162, 163. 160, I assume, is the cyan cartridge, then 161 is the magenta, 162 is the yellow, and 163 is the black. In my case, the magenta was very dirty. I pulled it out, used an eraser from a #2 pencil to clean the contacts. Used the shopvac to clean toner power out of printer. Turned it back on and it worked.

Error message OKIC3200n printer

I called the OKI help number, in the manual, and they told me that the second line of the error message, was just an additional reminder, to replace the magenta toner.

OKI c5600 drum reset

It usually resets automatically when you replace the drum/toner units. Are you trying to get it to reset before it's supposed to? I don't know of any way you can do that.

Check the left side of the drum cartridge.
There's a little door that may be stuck closed.
Carefully push it open with a small screwdriver.

Fatal error 163

Fatal Error 161-Toner Sensor Error, Color:Magenta
When magenta toner sensor error has occurred

Fatal Error 163-Toner Sensor Error, Color:Black
When magenta toner sensor error has occurred

Both are Sensor errors....You would first check the lock levers that hold the toner cartridges in, if everything is fine with them then you could possible have toner dust on the sensors. First take out the cartridge that you are having problems with, then use a dust off can and carefully clean out any axcess toner that you can see where the toner sits. there is a sensor that looks like a clear plastic or glass eye that reads the cartridges and it sometimes gets dirty.
