Hi, I have just changed the yellow cartridge on my R265 with proper epson ink cartridge and it is saying that it is incompatible. Can you help please?

Hi,
Check the cartridges installations and make sure they're well installed.
Make sure the plastic tab around the new cartridges is completely removed.
Disconnect the printer completely and re-connect after a while.
Turn it off and on.
Problem solved?
Uninstall and install the printer again.

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges?

ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.

These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors. It also will not let you print anything, if only one of the cartridges is empty.

I wanted to print only Black, and would not let me, because I did not have any ink in one of my cyan cartridges. Go figure.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. .

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

You probably need to purge the yellow ink channel. Use the cleaner found in refill kits and gently force the cleaner through the channel where the yellow ink cartridge attaches.

After cleaning, you will need to "charge" that ink channel either by many cleanings or by forcing the yellow ink into the channel before installing the cartridge.

Did you refill them or buy refilled cartridges? Epsons all have a chip on the ink tank. once that chip registers a certain count it renders the cartridge dead. If it gets refilled it has to be reset, which 99% of the refill places don't do. It's also possible that the contacts on the carriage have worn down or been punctured. Also look in the back of the carrier and make sure you don't see any small holes in the white ribbon cable.

just fill up all the catridge bcoz in colour printer anyone of them is not fill up the printout not coming properly , after filling the catridge just check

I had the same problem i bought an epson zapper to reset the chips on each cartridge it takes a bit of doing you have to hold each one and do it manualy as the slots on the zapper dont line up but everythig works since and that was a 9months ago since then i have bought a cis unit best thing i ever did no messing with cartridges hope that helps

ive had this problem too try putting the pollystyrene that holds the top of cartridge during transit back in when inserting cartridge into printer i found this worked for me
