Acer Aspire 5610 webcam/orbitcam issues - Logitech built-in cam

I have an Acer Aspire 5610. I am having issues with my webcam. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps and the drivers from the acer website. In my "device manager", it recognizes the webcam and says that it is working properly. However, when you try to open the "Orbitcam" program, the camera is not found. Is there any way I can confirm whether or not it is a hardware or a software issue?

It is an acer issue. Thier webcams have lots of issues. One suggested fix is to check if there are any files in the pictures folder, if there are remove them. I know it sounds weird, but it works for some models

Acer orbicam program is gone cant use webcam

It's called Bison_CCD_5_0_0_10f .
Go to acer site ,download ,drivers and you'll find for your 5610 maybe with other version or numbers.

you will need to reinstall the webcam driver. also uninstall and reinstall all programs that utilize the webcam. hope it'll help.
