Laptop help! Flickering laptop screen, I need it to be fixed.

In order to test and see if the issue is coming from malfunctioning wires lower and raise your laptops computer screen repeatedly to check and see if the flickering is related to movements then. Either it is a loose or a damaged screen cable or an inverter or the back light are all the possible culprits behind your particular laptop screen flickering woes.It could be the screen is starting to go bad and needs to be replaced.

You need to replace the screen. Look for a replacement on ebay.

If your problem is the screen of the laptop being upside down, please try to press CTRL+ALT+Up Arrow Key or Down Arrow Key, after you see some flashing or flickering on the screen restart the computer.
Sometimes you need to login first on the computer then press the key combination i mentioned then it should fix the problem.

unseat and reseat the LCD cable behind the LCD and also where it connects to the motherboard. If that doesn't solve it, then try another lcd cable. If that doesn't fix it then that means the LCD is bad and would need to be replaced.

The flickering happens because the flex of your laptop is getting weak.

The flex connects the screen of a laptop to the motherboard it is through it that data is passed to the screen.

It is found in all laptops and the more you open and close the laptop,it gets weaker and weaker.

The best thing to do to stop the flickering is to change the flex.You can also loose the laptop,remove the flex and fix it back properly but that may not stop the flickering permanently.

Note;if you cant loose the laptop yourself please get an expert to do it for you

you have a problem with your flat it is a cable connecting the monitor to the notebook itself and may be damaged or not fixed in it's place

That could be ths connector that connect the LCD to the Motherboard in the laptop. Ive seen something similiar wherein i took down the screen, cleaned up the connectors and it worked like new...... for a few weeks then it went back and started he flickering again. We finally fixed the problem by replacing the screen. Apparently the connector behind the screen was giving trouble. Have someone check the cable from your LCD to the board but I think you might need to fix the connector or replace the LCD screen. Regards, babb
