Goto http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/ and select your model notebook. Look under the Applications tab and the software is in there. Download and install and you should be all set.

acer has software available on the website, it should be labeled something in the neighborhood of "acer empowering technology quick launch toolbar" that should allow you to re-map your empowering technology "e" key to do anything you want
You need to check you has install empowering technology after you changed your OS Win7. Please download software and install all of empowering software before you can use it on your computer/laptop.
Please use this link and select your laptop model : http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers

The green e button at the top right corner is called the Empowering Key. It is used to launch the Acer Empowering technology on the Acer Aspire 5315 computer.
That button can be set using the utility on your programs list
It maybe that you accidentally turned it off or set it to do some other task.
Start there first before re-installing the program that sets it.
That is on one of the cds that should have come with it and can be installed by itself.
Hi, Basically the application isn't there, that's why when you press the "e" button on the computer it says ''the system cannot find the file specified''.
What you need to do is download the appropriate software from Acer support, download empowering technology here >>>>>>>>>>>>
hi
its a known issue with bloody acer machine's , if you have the recovery DVD with you then just reran it and it should take care of it. :P or if you have created different partitions then please delete them
You don't need to pay acer the 100usd to get the password removed,
one thing you can try first, is to disable the elock service from
start -> run -> type in services.msc
look for elock service right click properties startup type disabled and stop the service, on some elocks this is enought to stop it from working. but it debends I can fix this and I have done it many times now..
