Technics SL-HD350 Cd Player - Sound problems

The CD player has started to lose sound - when the sound has gone it can only be regained by siwtiching the whole system off and on again. The disc keeps running - just no audio - radio and tape appears to be ok. Any ideas guys?

This maybe due to overheating of some Sort.
Try taking it out of where it is where theres a good flow of air.
Then try running a cd.
Try Putting in a Cleaning cd, this maybe a fault with the laser.

Please don't cut a cable, You won't be able to repair it. There must be a way to lose the cable without cutting. I forgot, but I will search around. When I find something I'll come back on this.

SUV500 2-Channel Amplifier: Hi! can I connect another technics cd-player,sl...

yes you can connect another cd player to the DAT input of your amp.
input connections like DAT, TUNER, CD, AUX etc (except phono) is just to differentiate between what sources are connected, the amp cannot tell what source is connected and will output the sound no problem.

as for the remote operation, if the 2 technics cd players are switched on at the same time they're going to do what you command from the remote together but you'll obviously be listening to 1 at a time.

The cd player now wont read the Cd, the tracks

The clicking is the lens attempting to focus on the CD. Try cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. If that fails to resolve the problem, the optics will need to be replaced.
