Any loss of power will set it back to the default standard mode. Just switch the breaker on it for a minute. I have the book in pdf and will email it to you if you want.

My Balboa spa goes into economy mode and doesn't heat. How do i get it out of economy and keep it from going to economy?

Hi. Have a balboa hot tub which keeps going into economy mode, the temperature has stayed at 17 for a week and filtration is on 2 hrs twice a day. It has a mode button. Keep setting the standard setting but then slips back to economy right away. Help

My Dream maker Odyssey spa is stuck on economy mode. There is no way for me to see to change it to standard mode.

Try pressing 'TEMP' then 'LIGHT'. You may have to do this a couple of times.

If you don't have a 'TEMP' button, either the temperature up or down will also work.

There are three modes, ECONOMY (EC / ECO / ECON), SLEEP (SL / SLP) and STANDARD (ST / STD). For everyday use keep it on STANDARD mode.

Cheers,

I have an EC display on my panel

That means your "Heating" mode is in Economy! Without knowing what make our model spa you have, or the manufacturer of spa controls, difficult to assist in telling you how to switch to other modes. Maybe try this:
Pressing the "Temperature" button and then immediately the "Light/Jets" button may change the system back to Standard? Once you press those buttons, the "Ec" code comes on and stays on (flashing), and then you can press the "Light/Jets" button to toggle between Standard and Economy and maybe SL - which is Sleep modes.

Good luck

Control panel for spa and pool and spa heaters reads "SEr". cannot turn the temp up or down. Spa will not come on.

This sounds like the spa has been put in the Standard Economy mode.
When your spa is in this mode almost nothing works as it is in a freeze protection mode.
Change the operating mode back to standard and it should work just fine in the future.

Viking spa

Check to see what mode the spa is in. It sounds to me like the spa may be in the Economy mode.
If you can check to see the mode you spa is in...you may need to change the mode back to standard mode and that will allow you to change the temperature.

A downeast hot tub water is only 78 degrees turn up to 100 doesn't never get warmer and shows a ECn code

Check your filter cycles and switch spa into Standard Mode as you have it in Economy. (In Economy mode it will only heat during the filter cycles).
If the Ecn or Ec Message is Alternating with the Water Temperature on the Display, the Spa is Operating in the Economy Heating Mode.

If the Ecn or Ec Message is ON Solid (Not Flashing) on the Display, the Spa is Operating in the Economy Heating Mode, but there is No current water temperature because the Spa is between Filter Cycles.

Ecn or Ec is Alternating with Temp:
The Spa is Operating in the "Economy" (Ecn or Ec) Heating Mode.

The Water Temperature is Sampled Only during Programmed Filter Cycles. The Heater will Only operate and Heat up to Set Temperature during the Filter Cycles. The Water Temperature will probably drop Below Set Temperature between Filter Cycles. Other Heating Modes are Standard, Standard in Economy, and Sleep Modes.

Ecn or Ec is ON Solid (Not Flashing):
The Current Water Temperature is "Unknown" (- - - or - -) while in Economy or Sleep Mode.

Between Filter Cycles, while in the Economy or Sleep Heating Modes, the Pump has not turned ON and the Last Water Temperature is not Current. To read the Current Water Temperature, either Change to Standard Heating Mode or turn On the Heating Related Pump, and wait at least 2 Minutes.

Tub is not heating to temperature and flashing a Ec message on the temperature screen.

the Ec message is reffering to the mode the tub is set for. Ec stands for Economy mode. In Economy mode the heater will only come on during the filter cycle you have programmed. It will take a while for the tub to actually heat up in this mode. Change the mode to St mode which stands for Standard mode. Your manual should explain how to do this. usually you hit the temp button then the light button to change from mode to mode. Once the St is in the read out window don't touch anything and it will except the programmmed entry automatically. In the Standard mode the tub will keep heating until the set temperature is reached. then it will come on every half hr or so to check that the temperature is maintained.

I have a paradise spa the readout keeps saying econ what does this mean also Im having a hard time getting it to stay at 104 degrees

The econ sounds like a maintance mode that is to say economey mode. You probally have a simple way to set this back to a use mode but you will need to look this up in your book or find someone fimaller with this spa. Most books can be found on line if you look it up by brand and model number. Good luck.
