MY SCANNER BUTTON WONT WORK - HP C6280 All-in-One Printer

I need to look at mine it could be a stuck monitor button or a q or chip failed . will get back with you. JR

Hello. hold down the stop/reset button down on the printer for about 10 seconds untill the orange light on the printer stops flashing. this dis-able the ink level monitoring and should get you working again the button on the printer has a red triangle on it.

If no buttons are responding it is quite possilble that a button is physically stuck (when you depress one button and hold it, no other buttons will function). Press and wiggle EVERY button to see if perhaps one is jammed. Rubber buttons especially can get caught under the surrounding plastic.

if its not scanning and the power button is blinking then there is some hardware problem...clean the scanner bed..and try..if still doesnot work then its need s to be replaced..

try to clean lasser/scanner assembly. there is a mirrors iniside

Dirty USB port. Try another Port. One of the 4 contacts is not making connection.

hi,I would try to make it scan using windows instead of pressing manual button should work.
go to control panel,select printer,select scan option.

Try uninstalling the printer/scanner completely, and the reinstalling the drivers again. Most problems is sorted out this way.

do a search for the manual online..... there are tons of sites out there with scanner info.
