  • Anonymous Aug 13, 2008

I am facing same kinda problem. I am using MSI RG60G wireless router.

My notebook detects the MSI, but I can not connect to Internet. I have tried on two different notebooks but same problem.

    As
mentioned in the documentation, the IP of the router is 192.168.1.254
i.e. its default gateway. According to the instructions I set the IP of
my computer to be 192.168.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and
default gateway is the IP of router.

Now what is missing in DNS server? What should I write in their?

I followed the exact instructions as mentioned in the manual but its not working. Please help me.

You need to logon to the router via a computer that is on the same network as the router. open internet explorer and enter the routers IP address.example > http://192.168.2.1 The router's IP address should be on the bottom of the router, if not, on the computer you are using, click start, click run, type cmd and hit the enter key at the ms/dos window, type ipconfig /all
look for the default gateway IP address, this is your router. once you get the router's setup page, logon the router and configure your router. BPCS

Computer wont recognize cable hookup

You will have to start the configuration from the wired network rather than the wireless network. Connect the computer directly to the router. I am assuming you might be trying to configure the router from the wireless network. Then use the installation CD to configure the router

Port forwarding not working on cisco 1811 router? Via the SDM, I have configured NAT, and verified that these settings are correct. However, our videophone application (which requires, TCP:1720,15328-15248...

Most of the CISCO 1800 series have some ACL's configured by default.

You may want to run a show run from the CLI to make sure that there isn't one interfering.

Also from the CLI, see if you can debug port forwarding. I can't remember the command off the top of my head but I will look it up and post it for you.

Lost installation cd

Connect the computer to the LAN port of the router, connect the modem to the Internet/ WAN port on the router, access the configuration page of the router (Example 192.168.1.1)configure the router as dynamic IP (DHCP) and configure the wireless settings as WPA or WEP encryption.

E1 or T1 to pabx to router to softphone

Yes, configure second Cisco E1 port to simulate you telcom (network side) and connect it to PB, and first Cisco E1 to your telecom provider.

On Cisco router configure voice ports, and number manupilation, so you can catch any call and redirect it anywhere (Voip, Telco, PBX).

I tryed that with Ericcson, and it didn't work until connections where like these
telco <-> Cisco VoIP gateway (E1x2) <-> PBX

PBX's are not very flexible, Cisco is.

Difference between router

Hi,

Type II routers are Wireless ADSL (Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line) Routers. They are used as routers for connecting to the Internet Wi-Fi.(i.e)You may also call them as modem.Type II routers links a DSL to ISP(Internet Service Provider). You cannot change most of the Configuration of the type II routers, you allowed to change only few configurations.

Example ::
>>Cisco 3620
>>UTSTARCOM WA3002-g1

The Other Router like Cisco 1800 series /2800/ 3800/ 7600/ Catalyst 6500 Series, they are all Higher Routers, where u can configure and Program them, for connecting a LAN/WAN/MAN.

I hope is answered your question!!! Any more clarification, plz reply me!!

Thank YOU
