I have had a epson tm-t8811 receipt printer connected to one nework computer for many years and have just added another to other computer it is working fine but now my lazer printer wont work which is a shared printer and will not print from either computer now any ideas?

Are you using a third party USB adapter or a USB interface? On the self test page that you printed does it say USB connection or something that will say about USB? or does it say parallel or serial connection? try to check the dip switches setting if its configured properly. visit epsonexperts.com site for more info.

Well according to EPSON the ways you can connect your printer to a computer are RS-232C, IEEE 1284 parallel; RS-485; high-speed USB; 10/100Base-T/TX; wireless. However the way they get you is you have to buy the interface from them. Contact EPSON and see what the cheapest one is. If you're only using it from one computer just a simple parallel cable will do the trick. make sure you have the printer added in the printers window of the control panel. Epson Expert
suggests adding the printer as "generic". Mine is USB, so I have to run their COMUSB program.
Right now I am having a problem printing receipts. It seems the text is too wide for the line.
