You need a print server which you connect the printer to.
Then the print server is then connected to the wireless router with a LAN cable.
The print server needs to be configured with an IP address that is in the same address range as your wireless router's DHCP settings.
The laptop needs the Lexmark print driver installed and then the computer's printer port needs to be changed from the USB port to a standard TCP/IP port with an IP address that is the same as the IP address that was set in the print server.
When you print, the data will go wireless to the router and then via the LAN cables to the print server's IP adress then to the printer.

You can't set it up wirelessly, persay. but you can use a special bluetooth adapter in the "pic bridge" slot on the front. I have seen them on e-bay from £5($8) to £12($17) or so.

Cannot get the wireless connection to work on the printer. The USB cable is connected to the back of the PCU. I've installed and uninstalled twice and nothing. It did work when I first got it and...

Here are some guidelines to identify and fix your wireless communication issue:
  • What is the status of the Wi-Fi light on the printer? Green light means that it's connected to a wireless network while Orange light means it's not connected to a network.
  • Try to print the printer's wireless network settings to determine if it's connected to your own wireless network. On the printer operator panel, touch the Setup button > Network Setup > Print Setup Page. Your printer will then print the its wireless network information page. Ensure that the printer is connected to your network by checking the Network Card Status, Wireless SSID, Quality or Trouble Code.
  • If printer is not connected to your network, you may need to reset your printer's wireless network settings. On the printer operator panel, press Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Settings. The Wi-Fi light on the printer will momentarily turn off then back on to solid orange. You can then run the Wireless Setup Utility application on your computer to reconfigure the printer to connect to your wireless network. On your computer, launch the Lexmark Printer Home application > go to Settings tab > Wireless Setup Utility. Please follow the instructions on your computer screen.

I am running this Lexmark 6150 printer connected to the computer via usb cable. I have a wireless laptop, how can I print on the Lexmark 6150 from the laptop the laptop is connected to the same modem...

You can enable printer sharing on the computer where the printer is connected, then share the printer so it can be accessed by others on the network. The steps vary depending on which version of Windows the computer is running, so use the help screen. The steps will be listed for you to follow.

On your wireless computer, add the Lexmark printer as a network printer. You will probably need to install the printer drivers, so have the CD handy or download them from Lexmark's website.

Make sure both computers are members of the same workgroup, or the wireless computer won't be able to find the printer on your network. Also, the computer the Lexmark printer is connected to must be on and running for printing over the network.

An easier way to share your printer is by using a USB print server. One example is here. The server connects to your printer by the USB cable, and by an Ethernet cable to one of the wired ports on your router. Then any computer on the network can use the printer at any time.

I don't know how to make my Lexmark 4530 print wirelessly. My internet connection is wireless, but I don't know how to get my printer to print wirelessly.

download the installation software from lexmark. You will need to connect it to the computer via a USB cable to run the setup. Just follow the prompts and it will set up the printer on your wireless network. You will run this same software on each additional computer that you want to print to this printer.

I have a Lexmark non wireless printer which I want to connect to my wireless notebook. The router has a built in print server

You would do this by connecting the printer via an ethernet cable running from the printer to the router. Once connected you will have to add the printer to the network. Hope this helps.

LexmarLk X4850 fax wireless set-up

Printing: since Lexmark say you can either connect wirelessly or wired and not both, you must either connect your daughter's machine to the hub by wire or yourself to the printer wirelessly.

Fax: this will need a phone line.
