I would check the water outlet pipe blow hard down it to see if the way is clear if not then look at the water pump itself to see if it rotates freely then there may still be a button or paper clip in the system preventing the pump from doing its job eric
Christina, Does it leave water inside the tub? There are a couple of possibilitys. One could be the drain pump. If this fails the wash/rinse cycle will stop as it can sense the water not being pumped out. Can you hear the light sound of a small motot running when it goes into rinse cycle? Listen down at the very bottom far right side or far left side. If you hear the drain pump motor running is there any water discharging out the drain tube going into the wall? You should easily hear the flowing water. If not you have a few possible problems: Drain pump has an obstruction in or around it or, drain pump is actually bad.
First check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly
screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.
Remove
the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the
washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose
there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained
by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and
remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and
water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out
Make sure that your drain hose is at least 20 inches from the base of the machine and is not inserted into your drain too far... Normal is to insert about 6 inches... Inserting your hose too far causes a syphoning action.
The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.
LG themselves have some information on this error code..
Maybe the pump is not working is why its not draining. When your maching is on the section where it should drain the pump is supposed to be on and drain the water. Could also be your switch.
The pump should be able to move waste water 3 feet above the washing machine but if that fails, then you could always buy a sewage ejector set up ( plastic barrell with internal pump and water level sensor) . Those have a highjer pupm head pressure and would be able to move water up a column further than a washing machine pump. IN all probability, you will be ok at 7 - 9 feet from floor.
Hope that helps..

Rick
turn mach on spin,if you hear the pump turning normally you have a blocked sump.if the pump hums, you have a jammed pump.the pump is located under mach, tilt backwards as far as possible and remove screws on ft of access plate.once plate is removed pump will be on right side either held on by 2 clips or 4 torx screws.the 4 torx screws will split the pump in half and allow you to clean it out.the 2 clip pump cannot be split in half but you can remove the 2 hose clamps and try to remove what is jamming(you have a 50/50 chance of getting item out of this kind of pump).bail out as much water as possible, this mach will still have a hugeamount of water in it even after bailing it so have some buckets handy and slowly drain from pump before removing.if there is something stuck in the sump, call a technician.lot more complicated and involves special tools and removing entire basket and u-joint assy..good luck
you may have the drain hose too low or too far into the drain in the house. the drain hose has to be higher than the water level in the washer, otherwise the water will just drain out.
