The microwave seems to be stuck on delay

The microwave seems to be stuck on a one minute delay. when i try to use the 1express 1:00 comes on the screen and time counts down 1 minute then ready comes on the screen. if i push start nothing happens. if i push clear it goes back to the time of day. this works like this for 2 minute and 3 minute express also.
model # jvm1340ww002 serial # ts992828s

I need to add that the express does not come on at all. it's as if it cooked for 1 minute or 2 minutes. the light comes on but the power or machine does not come on nor does the turn table turn.. forget what i said about the 1 minute delay. that was incorrect. thanks

    soirry for mis understanding

ok with out the chance to properly test voltages here, and unless your comfortable with HV id cannot really reccomend putting your fingers in there

working alot with these units, it sounds like you might have a stuck button inside the mylar

i would have to reccomend changeing that

    it is a 90 -100 dollar part

im not sue gow old your unit it seams like its a few years

ive included the link to get the part

1654 is the part im talking about

it just might be time to consider replacement

again im sorry for the misunderstanding

Have a Sharp Carousel R-309YW but seems like there is a random delay time period BEFORE the sound, platter turns, and microwave works. The light comes on, and timer counts down however. Thank you!

Bottom door switch trouble or its mount is loose, misaligned, or broken.

Maytag microwave cook delay - first minute on timer no heating, then works fine

Not a feature I've heard of.

I would do a hard reset by unplugging the oven for a minute or two, setting the clock, then trying again.

If it still does this, I would contact Maytag customer service at the number in the owner's manual.

Samsung microwave displays press 1-4...

The SE indicates a short in the keypad membrane, but to cure this! the whole keypad control board should be changed if effort to resolve is decided, I would also suggest checking the pricing.

I have a GE Profile Spacemaker XL 1800 JVM1860SD microwave that recently started making a zzzzzzzz noise whenever it is plugged in. The light also seems to be stuck on. The noise seems to be coming from...

That would be a defective electrolytic on the control circuit board.

We see and repair this problem often with our $39.95 service. Details are here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Does the exhaunst fan turn on automatically when we cook or warm food items in our Samsung Microwave -- SMH 9187W?

Some interesting reading on page 8 of the owner's manual:

"Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite and spread if the vent fan is operating. To minimize automatic fan operation, use adequate sized cookware and use high heat on surface units only when necessary."

And on page 20:

"If the temperature becomes too hot around the microwave oven, the fan in the vent hood will automatically turn on at the LEVEL 2 setting to cool the oven. The fan will automatically turn off when the oven has cooled down sufficiently. This is an automated process and cannot be turned off. The fan may stay on for 30 minutes or more after the cooktop and microwave controls are turned off. The Vent Fan will only operate in 1~4 levels modes while the microwave is working."

"Using the Vent delay off button
1. Press the Delay Off button once to turn the fan off after 1 minute.
2. Press the Delay Off button twice to turn the fan off after 3 minutes.
3. Press the Delay Off button three times to turn the fan off after 5 minutes.
4. Press the Delay Off button fiour times to turn the fan off after 10 minutes.
5. Press the Delay Off button five times to turn the fan off after 30 minutes."

If for some reason you don't have your owner's manual, you can still download it free here.

Stuck in demo mode on GE jvm1850 microwave tried unplugging, tried power level and zero at same time, tried holding clear, holding help, tried everything i have read so far but they seem to all be for...

A hard reset would be the first thing I'd recommend, but unplug it for about 2 minutes, plug it back in, and watch to see what it does.

Wait at least 60 seconds after powering it up to see if an "F3" code comes up.

You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here. See what it says about a demo mode.

Otherwise, I would suspect a shorting keypad.

If you need more help, we can let you know what your options and costs would be and send you other helpful info.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Feel free to contact me
directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

I have a Whirlpool gold accubake microwave / oven combo model number GMC305PDS07. The microwave will not turn on and will display "DOOR". I think it is thinking that the door is open?. Please help.

Press and hold the DELAY START TIME button for +5 secs and a chime will sound. The option to toggle between SND HI and SND LO will come up, pressing Delay Start Time will change it between these options.

Some people spray some quimico to clean the microwave then on keypad don't have to spray ane liquid. To clean the keypad have to use paper with little water. I think your problem is keypad water damged, if I right you have to replaceit.
